Gujarat will be toll tax-free for small vehicles including cars from August 15th 2016
Gandhinagar - Gujarat chief minister Anandiben has made an announcement regarding the exemption to small vehicles like bikes and cars from paying road toll tax in Gujarat. It will be taken into action from Independence day of India i,e. 15th August.

Anandiben Patel has made this announcement in her speech in Inauguration of Aamra Forest (Mango Orchard) at Valsad. It was 67th forest festival of the state.

She added that government is surveying to ensure the amount of loss they are facing for such an exemption. She said that it is not going to affect national highway toll tax. Gujarat government is in controversy due to "Patidar Anamat Anadolan" and "Dalit Protests at Una". "It is a kind of election scheme offered by BJP to maintain the reputation and faith among Gujarati people" found on social media.
